Terms of service

These terms are the agreement between you and Yahiv Inc., a New York corporation that makes and runs Plainstamp ("Plainstamp", "we", "us"). They cover the website (plainstamp.com and app.plainstamp.com) and the Plainstamp apps for phones and tablets. By creating an account or using Plainstamp, you agree to them. If you use Plainstamp for a business or organization, you agree for it too, and you confirm you're allowed to.

Your account and workspace

• You need to be at least 16 to use Plainstamp, and you need to give a real name and an email address you can get mail at.
• Keep your password and sign-in methods safe. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at hello@plainstamp.com if you think someone else got in.
• The person who creates a workspace is its owner. The owner chooses the plan, pays for it, and decides who can join and what each person can do. Ownership can be passed to someone else in the workspace.

The free trial

A new workspace gets the Starter plan free for its first 3 months, without a card. If no plan is chosen by the end of the trial, the workspace becomes read-only: everyone can still sign in and see everything, but nothing can be added or changed until a plan is chosen. If no plan is chosen within 6 months after the trial ends, the workspace and everything in it are deleted. We email the owner and admins before that happens, and send the owner a link to download a full copy first. Workspaces created before October 21, 2026 stay free on Starter.

Plans, prices and billing

• Plans and prices are on the pricing page. Prices are in US dollars and don't include any sales tax that may apply.
• Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically at the end of each period, at the price then in effect, until you cancel. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
• Changing plans: moving to a bigger plan applies right away, and the difference for the rest of the period is added to your next invoice. Moving to a smaller plan gives you a credit for the rest of the period, which goes toward your future invoices. Credits aren't paid out in cash.
• Extra emails: on a paid plan, the owner can choose to keep sending emails past the plan's monthly allowance, for $1 per extra 1,000 emails, added to the next invoice.
• Translation we handle: if the owner turns on translation by Plainstamp ("We handle it"), characters are paid for up front. A pack of 150,000 characters costs $3 and is charged to the card on file when it's bought, by the owner or, if the owner turns that on, automatically when characters run out, up to the monthly amount the owner chooses. A pack lasts one month from when it's bought. The monthly add-on (300,000 characters a month for $5) is added to the plan's monthly bill and its characters last until the next bill. Unused characters don't carry over and aren't refunded. Translating with your own Microsoft, Google or DeepL key ("Do it yourself") costs nothing from us; that service's own terms and prices apply.
• Price changes: if we change the price of your plan, we'll email the owner at least 30 days before it applies to your next renewal.
• Failed payments: if a payment doesn't go through, we email the owner and try again over the next few weeks. If it stays unpaid for about three weeks, the workspace is paused: everyone can still see and download everything, but nothing can be added or changed until the invoice is paid. Nothing is deleted while a workspace is paused.

Cancelling

The owner can cancel at any time in Plan & billing → Cards, invoices and cancelling, or by emailing us. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you've already paid for, and it won't renew after that. When it ends, the workspace follows the same rules as a free trial that ended: it becomes read-only, and it's deleted if no plan is chosen within 6 months (workspaces created before October 21, 2026 go back to the free Starter plan instead).

Refunds

All payments are final and we don't give refunds, including for partial months or years, unused time, unused people or features, or a plan you forgot to cancel. The 3-month free trial is there so you can try Plainstamp fully before you pay. If we charge you by mistake, for example twice for the same period, we'll refund the mistaken charge. Contact us at hello@plainstamp.com within 60 days of the charge. Nothing in these terms takes away any right to a refund that the law gives you and that can't be waived.

Your data

• Everything your team puts in Plainstamp belongs to you (or your organization). You give us permission to store, process and show it only to run Plainstamp for you, as described in our privacy policy.
• The owner can download everything in the workspace at any time, on any plan, in Settings → Download everything.
• When a workspace is deleted, its data is removed from Plainstamp. Copies in our backups are deleted on their normal schedule.

Fair use

Don't use Plainstamp to break the law or anyone's rights; to send spam; to upload anything harmful, such as malware; to get into accounts or data that aren't yours; or to overload, copy or reverse-engineer the service. We may suspend or close an account that does, and if it puts others at risk, we may do so without notice.

Other services

Some features connect to services run by other companies, such as Google Calendar, Stripe, Plaid, QuickBooks and Xero. Using them is up to you, and their own terms apply. We aren't responsible for those services or for changes they make.

Our service

We work to keep Plainstamp available, secure and backed up, and we keep improving it, which means features can change. We'll tell owners ahead of time before removing a feature that's part of a paid plan. Plainstamp helps you organize work and money, but it isn't legal, tax or accounting advice. Check important figures with your accountant.

Disclaimers and limits

To the extent the law allows, Plainstamp is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, including that it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, Yahiv Inc. isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, revenue or data, and our total liability for any claim about Plainstamp is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending this agreement

You can stop using Plainstamp and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms or doesn't pay. If we ever stop offering Plainstamp, we'll give owners at least 60 days' notice and a way to download their data.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and email workspace owners before the change applies. Using Plainstamp after that means you accept the new terms.
